Hello, we are two multi-creatives, Tony and Eleanor, originally from Northumberland and London respectively; now living and working in Margate.
Since venturing south in 2012, Tony has made his mark in Margate – not just by being a friendly face behind the bar at the Harbour Arms, but also through his graphic design work; animations; and regular DJ-ing and VJ-ing. As well as being a multi-instrumentalist, Tony is also an award-winning composer. In addition, his graphic designs have graced badges, T-shirts, shop fronts and posters around Thanet.
Eleanor and her camera were first drawn to Margate in 2014. She has been documenting the town ever since and now also lives there, as well as taking up residency at the Resort Studios for Margate creatives. In February she had a solo exhibition at the Pie Factory, in association with the Turner Contemporary, and is now at the Vortigern photographers’ gallery, also in Margate, throughout March.
As well as being a photographer covering various genres, including portrait studio work and still photography for film companies, Eleanor is also a qualified journalist and PR specialist. She has previously worked for one of the country’s top PR consultancies, Hill & Knowlton, and for Reuters news agency. Following that she ran a PR and marketing consultancy in London, with clients including Borough Market; a consortium of attractions such as Shakespeare’s Globe theatre and the Tate Modern gallery; and London restaurants. She has also recently engaged in feature and blog writing work for clients including Soho house magazine and London City Voices choir.
Although we reside in Margate, we have office bases in both London and Margate so are perfectly placed to cover both locations.
