Hello, we are two multi-creatives, Tony and Eleanor, originally from Northumberland and London respectively; now living and working in Ramsgate.
Since venturing south in 2012, Tony has made his mark in the area through his graphic design work; animations; and regular DJ-ing and VJ-ing. As well as being a multi-instrumentalist, Tony is also an award-winning composer. In addition, his graphic designs have graced badges, T-shirts, shop fronts and posters around Thanet.
Eleanor and her camera were first drawn to Thanet in 2014. She has been documenting the area ever since and has had several solo exhibitions of her work in Margate and Ramsgate, including two at the prestigious Pie Factory.
As well as being a photographer covering various genres, including portrait studio work and still photography for film companies, Eleanor is also a qualified journalist and PR specialist. She has previously worked for one of the country’s top PR consultancies, Hill & Knowlton, and for Reuters news agency. Following that she ran a PR and marketing consultancy in London, with clients including Borough Market; a consortium of attractions such as Shakespeare’s Globe theatre and the Tate Modern gallery; and London restaurants. She has also engaged in feature and blog writing work for clients including Soho house magazine and London City Voices choir.
Since setting up Indigo Squid our local on-going clients include Little Ships restaurant, Royal Harbour hotel and The Empire Room in Ramsgate; and The Hawley in Margate. We have also recently worked with Birchington Gallery, Margate Old Town Market, Kingfisher Boat Tours, Fort Road Yard and The Isle of Thanet magazine.
